Caprice A. Morrison, nee McFarlane, LLB (Hons)

Caprice A. Morrison, nee McFarlane is the managing partner of the Kingston and Mandeville offices of McMorrison and Williams. She handles a wide variety of practice areas in particular, estates, personal injury, restrictive covenant modifications and conveyancing.
Caprice obtained her Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree with honours from the University of London in 2006 and her Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School where she was the recipient of an award for academic excellence, earned a place on the Principal's Honour Roll and was the sole female member of the Norman Manley Law School’s Frankfurt Moot Court Team - a four member team that traveled to Frankfurt Germany and defeated an international field of over 30 Universities in the Frankfurt Investment Law Moot Court competition in 2012.

A gifted advocate, very early in her legal practice Caprice benefited from the guidance of criminal law Attorney, Mr. Peter Champagnie Q.C. while working with him on matters in several courts islandwide. She went on to become the coach for the University of the West Indies Mona (UWI-Mona) team for the Caribbean Court of Justice Moot Court Competition in Port of Spain, Trinidad and later returned to Germany, coaching several UWI-Mona teams at the Frankfurt Investment Law Moot Court. She is a former Lecturer/Adjunct Lecturer/Course Director at both the University College of Caribbean and the Faculty of Law UWI-Mona.

Caprice garnered invaluable knowledge and experience in the areas of Land transfers, First Registration of Land, Subdivision Approvals and Housing Developments working in the Company Secretariat Department of the National Housing Trust under the tutelage of several experienced Attorneys-at-Law. She also worked alongside her father, the late Winston H. McFarlane of Counsel at his law firm in Mandeville focusing on Probate applications, Land acquisition and Property Development, Adverse Possession and Conveyancing.

Caprice adds to her law practice several years of invaluable business experience and leadership acumen. Previous to becoming an Attorney-at-Law, she excelled as a Branch Manager at one of Jamaica’s premiere retail establishments. A consummate professional with a strong work ethic, and a gift for public relations, she combines her experience in the business world with her legal expertise to provide exceptional legal services for her clients.

In addition to managing a successful law practice, Caprice is a proud mother of a baby girl and counts family and faith as the hallmarks of her existence. She is passionate about empowering young people, music and she is an avid sports fan!

Stacy-Ann S. Williams, LLB (Hons)

Stacy-Ann S. Williams, is the Managing Partner for the Montego Bay Branch office of McMorrison & Williams. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) with Honours from the University of London in 2010 and in 2012 successfully obtained her Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School. Ms. Williams is a past Realtor Associate at Golden Gates Realty and former Lecturer at The University of the West Indies and The Montego Bay Community College.
Prior to being called to the Bar Stacy-Ann obtained years of invaluable experience in Conveyancing, Subdivision and Estates at Naylor & Turnquest. She commenced her legal practise focusing on Civil Litigation at Nicholson Phillips. Presently Stacy-Ann focuses primarily on Conveyancing and has knowledge and experience in Property Development, investment, land acquisitions, planning and construction. Stacy-Ann is a member of the Cornwall Bar Association and sits on the Conveyancing Committee.

Stacy-Ann S. Williams

An ambitious, energetic, flexible team player with a proactive approach to work, Stacy-Ann is equipped with strong research skills, a high sense of professionalism and the drive to succeed. In addition to her legal qualifications, Stacy-Ann is a trained teacher who graduated The Mico University College with Honours in 2006 and has taught at every level of the Education System. She is an industrious, disciplined and dedicated individual with a keen interest in children, rendering altruistic service and nation building. These attributes are evident in her membership with the Kiwanis Club of Providence-Montego Bay, where she has sat in several positions on the Board of Directors and ultimately served as President of the Club. Through the said Club she spearheads many programmes geared toward uplifting and empowering youths in our society. She also sat on the Board of D.M.P. Academy and the Chief Judge of the National Tourism Debate Competition.

Stacy-Ann’s present success is rooted in very humble beginnings. She hails from Sunning Hill District in the parish of St. Thomas and is a past student of Morant Bay High School where she studied the Sciences and was a member of the Debate Club. Stacy-Ann values family life and Christianity. She is the biological mother of one child but has mothered many others, and believes that through Christ all things are possible.

Norris B. Troupe

Norris B. Troupe is an Associate Attorney-at-Law at the Montego Bay Branch office of McMorrison & Williams. Norris obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies in 2018 and he subsequently obtained his Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in 2020.

Whilst at the University of the West Indies, Troupe was the recipient of the Faculty Award for highest GPA and he also received subject prizes in the Law of Trust and Gender and the Law. He was also a member of the Faculty of Law UWI Rights Advocacy Project (URAP) as a research assistant where he contributed to the Caribono newsletter and assisted in preparation for litigation in the landmark CCJ decision of McEwan et al v The Attorney General of Guyana.

During his tenure at the Norman Manley Law School, Norris has tutored Constitutional Law at the University of West Indies Faculty of Law and was a member of the Norman Manley Law School Student Association’s Executive as Returning Officer. In 2019, he was selected for a summer fellowship with URAP, where he participated in research of the legal landscape after the McEwan decision and also partook in the preparation for possible strategic litigation against the state of Guyana with regard to its failures in protecting its citizens who fall victim to domestic violence. This he did under the patronage of Senior Lecturer and noted International Human Rights attorney, Tracy Robinson and Former Guyanese Court of Appeal Judge, Dr. Arif Bulkan.

In addition to his academic success, Norris finds pride in his humble beginnings. He hails from Tower Hill, a small district in Saint James, and he believes that the experiences garnered through his various interactions with his community’s people will aid in his ability to communicate effectively with clients of various backgrounds. Norris is jovial and enjoys making others happy. He is also passionate about teaching, and more importantly, educating the layman of his rights and legal obligations.
